The University of Rwanda, in partnership with the MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program, has launched this 10-year-long scholars program. The University of Rwanda MasterCard Foundation Scholarship is designed to provide access to quality education for 1,400 young Africans who have limited access to good education or other opportunities. This international scholarship is open to African students of all genders and regions. The University of Rwanda Mastercard Scholarship 2025-26 specially focuses on young people with disabilities, refugees, displaced adolescents, and women who are interested in STEM fields. Eligibility Criteria :
Before starting your scholarship, make sure you meet all the requirements and eligibility for the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at the University of Rwanda. We have listed the criteria below.
Eligibility Criteria of the University of Rwanda Mastercard Scholarship 2025-26:
- Be a citizen of Rwanda or any African country, a refugee, or a displaced youth in Africa.
- They must be academically qualified, with limited access to opportunities.
- Applicants must not be above 28 years at the time of application.
- They must meet the admission criteria of the eligible programs at the University of Rwanda.
- Applicants must have generated a UR Reference number and submitted their admission application to UR in one of the eligible programs (check the list here).
- They must be committed to leadership and provide proof of community engagement or transformation initiatives.
- Refugees and disabled applicants should provide legal proof of their status.
