Fuller Fellowship in Peacebuilding, an esteemed international fellowship designed to empower emerging leaders working to promote peace and stability in the region.

What is the Fuller Fellowship in Peacebuilding?

The Fuller Fellowship in Peacebuilding is a prestigious opportunity for early to mid-career professionals committed to addressing subnational conflicts and driving innovative solutions in their communities. Established in 2004 to honor former TAF president William P. Fuller, the fellowship supports individuals actively involved in peace research, policy, advocacy, and community-level initiatives across the Asia-Pacific.

Selected Fuller Fellows will:

Eligible Nationalities

This fellowship is open to applicants from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pacific Islands, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Timor-Leste, Vietnam.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for this Asia Foundation Fellowship, applicants must:

  1. Be 40 years old or younger (born after October 13, 1985)
  2. Be a citizen of one of the eligible Asia-Pacific countries or regions:
  3. Be fluent in English
  4. Demonstrate leadership potential with a minimum of three years of professional experience
  5. Show a strong commitment to peacebuilding and conflict resolution
  6. Be available to participate in the full October 13–24, 2025 program
  7. Be able to obtain a U.S. visa
