About the Taiwan Fellowship

Fellowship Benefits

  4. One round-trip economy-class airfare, up to NT$60,000 for applicants from Europe

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Taiwan Fellowship 2026, applicants must:

  1. Be non-Taiwanese citizens (foreign nationals)
  2. Be academics or researchers in the field of humanities or social sciences
  3. Hold the position of:

Application Procedure

Step 2: Submit Documents by Post

  1. Send the required documents by July 1, 2025 (based on the postmark) to:

  4. (Write “Application for the 2026 Taiwan Fellowship” on the envelope)

  3. Research Proposal (3 pages in English, following academic format)
  4. Two recommendation letters, or
  5. One recommendation letter and one consent letter from the applicant’s institutional head
