Hold an M.D. or D.O. by the fellowship start date

Be in their 2nd or 3rd year of a pediatric oncology fellowship by July 1, 2026

Not hold a faculty rank (e.g., assistant professor or above)

Be employed at an academic or nonprofit research institution

Have a mentor affiliated with an American Board of Pediatrics–approved Pediatric Hematology/Oncology program

Not have received a Commonwealth Professional Fellowship in the past five years

Collaborative co-mentorships are encouraged

Boston University may submit only one primary applicant. A second applicant is allowed if the proposal focuses on brain tumors, including:

Atypical teratoid/rhabdoid tumor (AT/RT)

Diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG)/Diffuse midline glioma (DMG)

Glioblastoma (GBM)

Burkitt lymphoma
