SCIA Council Member Sir William Blair Scholarship 2025 Applications Open
The 2025 SCIA Council Member Sir William Blair Scholarship is a prestigious initiative jointly launched by the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration (SCIA) and Sir William Blair, aimed at fostering academic and professional collaboration between China and the United Kingdom in the field of international arbitration.
This scholarship program encourages young legal scholars and professionals to undertake cross-border academic study or research to advance their expertise in arbitration. It promotes cultural exchange and international cooperation while supporting the next generation of leaders in legal arbitration.
Each year, two scholarships worth RMB 100,000 (after tax) are awarded—one to a Chinese applicant traveling to the UK, and one to a UK applicant traveling to China. The financial grant is designed to support the recipient’s self-arranged study or research activities in the host country.
In addition, SCIA provides selected recipients the opportunity to intern at SCIA or SCIA HK, gaining direct exposure to institutional arbitration practices in a professional setting. While the scholarship does not cover logistics or manage travel arrangements, it offers generous financial aid, mentorship, and institutional access to help recipients achieve their goals.
