Lingyu’s 1-Year Journey in Germany

Today, his journey is an inspiring story to how the right support can turn dreams into success.

Moving from China to Germany was challenging: a new culture, a new language, and the pressure of managing finances alone. But the Golden Ticket gave Lingyu the freedom to settle in comfortably, avoiding hostels and reducing stress.

“It gave me flexibility when I needed it most,” he recalls. For his parents, it was a relief too – “This is all we have and you have to control your spending,” his father had said. Winning the Golden Ticket lifted that burden entirely.

At first, Lingyu and his family were skeptical – was it too good to be true? Now, he enthusiastically recommends Fintiba to fellow students. “They don’t just offer a blocked account – they genuinely support international students,” he says. So convinced, he’s even applying for the Fintiba Ambassadors Programme to guide others: “That’s not just what I can do – it’s what I must do!”

Lingyu’s success plan in Germany? More than just graduating – he aims to dive into electrochemistry research, possibly pursuing a PhD. But his bigger mission is bridging the gap for Chinese students dreaming of studying in Germany.
