Greece is gaining traction as a top long-haul holiday destination in 2025, according to a new report by luxury travel specialist Kuoni.
The company has unveiled its 2025 bestseller list, highlighting the most sought-after destinations among travelers.
Based on the data, Greece held its ground against traditionally popular destinations, securing the 15th spot among the top places to visit in 2025. Experts describe Greece as “Europe’s number one” destination, recommending must-visit locations such as Halkidiki, the Sporades, Athens, and Rhodes.
“Greece still takes the crown as our top European destination,” experts said. Travelers are encouraged to begin their journey with a dose of culture in Athens and a visit to the Acropolis, then head to Santorini for breathtaking caldera sunsets and clifftop dining. Alternatively, they can go island-hopping in the Sporades before unwinding at a tranquil retreat in Rhodes.

Meanwhile, experts highlight top hotels and resorts including the Sani Dunes in Halkidiki as a family favorite.
Earlier this year, another Kuoni study highlighted Greece’s appeal, naming it one of the most popular 2025 “vision board” destinations on Pinterest.
The Maldives is out in front as number one on the best-sellers list, with Thailand, Mauritius, Sri Lanka, Bali, Antigua, Vietnam, Malaysia, the US, and South Africa respectively all in the top 10.
Other trending destinations for the year ahead include Italy, the UAE, India, Tanzania, Australia, and the Seychelles, which are all seeing a rise in bookings since last year.
