During her speech, the minister also announced plans for an Agri-Food, Gastronomy, and Tourism Interconnection Network, set to operate as a thematic Destination Management and Marketing Organization (DMMO). This initiative will be supported by a digital platform that maps Greece’s gastronomic and agrotourism resources, designed to encourage authentic local experiences year-round.
“In modern tourism, gastronomy is an integral part of the travel experience, offering visitors an authentic connection with the history, culture, and life of each place,” Kefalogianni noted.
