Fully Funded MAECI Scholarships in Italy 2025–2026
The Italian Government (MAECI) Scholarships 2025–2026 are now open for applications. Offered by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI), these prestigious scholarships support international students and Italian citizens living abroad who wish to study in Italy.
The program promotes international cultural exchange, scientific cooperation, and the global promotion of the Italian language and culture.
Available Programs
Scholarships are available for the following academic levels:

Bachelor’s Degree / Single Cycle Programs
For students graduating from designated Italian high schools abroad
Duration: 9 months -
Master’s Degree (Laurea Magistrale – 2nd Cycle)
Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree
Duration: 9 months (renewable) -
AFAM (Higher Education in Arts, Music, and Dance)
Duration: 9 months (renewable) -
PhD Programs
Duration: 9 months (renewable upon satisfactory progress) -
Research Projects (Under Supervision)
Conducted at recognized Italian institutions
Duration: 9 months -
Advanced Courses in Italian Language and Culture
Minimum A2 proficiency in Italian
Duration: 3 months

Scholarship Benefits

€9,000 total for Bachelor’s, Master’s, AFAM, PhD, and Research Programs (paid in three installments)

€3,000 for Italian Language and Culture Courses (paid in one installment)

Special Grants and Initiatives

Attanasio Grants: For students from Morocco, Nigeria, and the Democratic Republic of Congo, pursuing studies in international relations, development, or human rights.

Costruiamo il Futuro Grants: For students from Ethiopia, Egypt, Morocco, and Tunisia in fields like engineering, economics, computer science, agriculture, or health sciences.

WikiAfrica Higher Education Initiative: For African grantees working with Wikipedia to promote knowledge on Africa.
