CONVIN, a leading Greek Professional Congress Organizer (PCO), reinforced Greece’s regional presence in the international meetings industry by supporting two major scientific events in Alexandroupolis and Chania during the first half of 2025.

Scientific knowledge meets regional growth
In Alexandroupolis, the European Summer School of Internal Medicine (ESIM 2025) took place between June 1–7, hosted for the first time in Greece. Organized by the European Federation of Internal Medicine (EFIM) and the Foundation for the Development of Internal Medicine in Europe (FDIME), and supported locally by Democritus University and the University Hospital of Alexandroupolis, the event welcomed more than 80 young internal medicine specialists from across Europe.
Alongside intensive workshops and clinical sessions, the summer school brought tangible benefits to the city — from boosting medical tourism to positioning Alexandroupolis as an emerging hub for academic events in Northern Greece.
Just days later, during June 7–11, the 10th Mediterranean Neuroscience Society Conference (MNS 2025) convened in Chania, Crete. More than 450 participants from over 20 countries gathered at the Minoa Palace Resort to exchange ideas and share breakthroughs in brain and neural research. With a strong focus on interdisciplinary dialogue and support for young researchers, MNS 2025 also delivered economic value to the region during a non-peak tourism period and further solidified Chania’s profile as a high-standard conference destination.
A broader 2025 presence
These two events reflect CONVIN’s long-term vision to decentralize congress tourism and strengthen Greece’s academic footprint across its regions. The company has consistently advocated for turning knowledge exchange into local opportunity, acting as a bridge between science and development.
