The Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) is advancing its All Aboard Greece campaign, introducing new elements that highlight Greek community perspectives and the industry’s environmental initiatives.
Launched in July with two introductory videos, the campaign now includes two additional productions.
One of them, titled Local Voices, features destination officials and community leaders — including mayors and port authorities — who explain how cruise tourism boosts local economies, supports small businesses, and showcases Greece’s cultural identity to visitors.
A second video, Sustainable Cruising, highlights the sector’s efforts to reduce its footprint, showcasing investments in cleaner energy, collaborations for environmental protection, and destination initiatives designed to promote more responsible tourism.
“In this second phase of our campaign, we share the story of cruise tourism through the voices of those shaping ports and local communities, as well as through the industry’s commitment to sustainable cruising,” said Maria Deligianni, CLIA’s Regional Director for the Eastern Mediterranean.
Beyond the videos, CLIA will extend the campaign to the wider public through The Voyage, an exhibition opening on October 9 at the Eugenides Foundation in Athens and running until January 9. The interactive event invites visitors to explore sustainable cruising and its role in Greece’s tourism landscape.
By bringing together local voices and sustainability goals, the latest phase of All Aboard Greece illustrates how the cruise industry is working to reposition itself in the country — not only as a driver of economic activity but also as a partner in fostering more sustainable tourism.
“Bringing this exhibition to Greece for the first time offers an important opportunity for dialogue and awareness on the future of maritime transport and the cruise industry,” noted Ioannis Golias, Governor of the Eugenides Foundation.
As part of the All Aboard Greece campaign, CLIA is also launching a Cruise Info Hub for Greece. Available both at the exhibition and online, the hub will serve as a user-friendly source of information on cruise innovation, environmental progress, and destination partnerships.
