The innovative “Athenian Waves” gastronomy events are in full swing at Minos Beach Art Hotel on Crete, featuring menus inspired by Greek cuisine with a modern international twist.
As part of the series, the hotel’s La Bouillabaisse restaurant is hosting five acclaimed chefs from Athens, who are teaming up with the hotel’s award-winning culinary duo, Poppy Kourkouraki and Kyriakos Mylonas, to craft menus that celebrate both Athenian gastronomy and Cretan culinary heritage.
The culinary journey began on June 7 with Ex Machina and chef Adam Kontovas, followed by Bread & Salt and chef Yannis Loukakos on July 5.
The series resumes on August 2 with Simul and its innovative chef Nikos Thomas, renowned for his technical precision and refined aesthetics.

On September 20, Pharaoh takes center stage as chef Manolis Papoutsakis brings to Crete the authentic depth and evolving flavors of modern Greek cuisine. The curtain falls on October 4 with Jerár and chef Haris Nikolouzos, celebrated for redefining elegance in contemporary Greek cuisine.
In line with the hotel’s sustainable philosophy, the menus are prepared with fresh, locally sourced ingredients, supporting Crete’s producers, culinary identity, and local economy.
Hotel guests and locals are invited to participate at the events, tasting some of Greece’s best flavors.
