ITA Airways is strengthening its presence in the Gulf region with its first appearance at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2025, taking place from April 28 to May 1 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
The Italian flag carrier is exhibiting in the Italy Pavilion (Hall 6 – stand EU6250), hosted by the Italian National Tourism Board (ENIT), alongside key industry players. The airline’s International Sales team is in Dubai to connect with travel stakeholders and promote ITA Airways’ growing intercontinental network.
“This is an important opportunity to deepen our commitment to a region of great strategic value,” said Emiliana Limosani, Chief Commercial Officer at ITA Airways and CEO of its Volare loyalty program. “With the launch of direct flights to Dubai, Riyadh, and Jeddah, we’re reinforcing connections between Italy and the Arabian Peninsula, while supporting demand for premium travel in both the business and leisure segments.”
ITA Airways’ participation follows the October 2024 launch of its direct Rome–Dubai route, operated with the Airbus A321neo – the first narrow-body aircraft in its fleet configured with Business Class (full-flat seats), Premium Economy, and Economy Class. The A321neo offers 20 percent lower fuel consumption per seat and reduced emissions, reflecting the airline’s broader sustainabilityMedia goals.
In addition to Dubai, ITA Airways launched routes to Riyadh and Jeddah in 2024, also served by the A321neo. The Rome–Riyadh service increased to six weekly frequencies this summer, while Rome–Jeddah operates three times weekly. The carrier supports regional connectivity through codeshare agreements with leading Middle East airlines.
“Our presence at ATM underscores ITA Airways’ international growth strategy and commitment to delivering a premium, distinctly Italian experience,” added Limosani.
As part of its summer 2025 schedule, ITA Airways is flying to 59 destinations, including 16 intercontinental routes. Seasonal flights connect Rome and Milan to Mediterranean leisure hotspots such as the Balearic Islands (Ibiza, Majorca, Menorca), Greek islands (Rhodes, Heraklion, Corfu, Zakynthos, Kefalonia), and Italy’s Lampedusa and Pantelleria.
Starting March 30, ITA Airways passengers also benefit from connections to over 100 additional destinations through codeshare agreements with five Lufthansa Group airlines: Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, and Air Dolomiti.
The airline continues to enhance customer experience through its Volare loyalty program, cabin design collaborations with Walter De Silva, and partnerships with Italian brands and chefs.
