Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following MSCA eligibility criteria:
- Hold a PhD degree by the time of the EU deadline (10 September 2025)
- Have no more than 8 years of research experience after PhD award (excluding career breaks)
- Must not have resided or carried out their main activity in the UK for more than 12 months in the 36 months prior to the deadline

1. Expression of Interest (Internal Selection)
- Deadline: 23 May 2025
- Submit to: Monira Begum, School Research Manager at geog-research@qmul.ac.uk
- Include the following in your EOI:
- CV (max. 2 pages, full list of publications)
- 2-page Research Proposal outlining originality, objectives, career goals, and how you will contribute to the School’s research
- Eligibility Statement confirming MSCA-PF 2025 criteria
2. Full EC Proposal
- Selected candidates will co-develop the proposal with a QMUL host supervisor
- Supported by QMUL’s EU funding team (IRI EU Pre-Award) for templates and technical assistance
- EC Deadline: 10 September 2025 (indicative)
UK researchers and institutions are fully eligible for Horizon Europe funding following the UK’s association with the programme from 1 January 2024.
