More than 15,000 people ushered in 2025 at Pedion tou Areos’ Christmas Village in Athens, celebrating the new year with a lively concert, an outdoor party and spectacular light and drone shows organized by Attica Region.
Kicking off the celebrations, presenter Themis Georgantas handed the stage to singer Christos Mastoras and the band Melisses. Together with artists Zaf and ONEMANSHOW, the audience joyfully bid farewell to 2024, dancing to upbeat rhythms in a vibrant and festive atmosphere.

At midnight, the music paused, and a giant screen on the stage connected live to Syntagma Square, where people joined the traditional New Year countdown hosted by the Athens Municipality.
As the New Year arrived, Attica Governor Nikos Hardalias shared his heartfelt wishes for a Happy New Year filled with health and smiles each day.

Spectacular drone show welcomed 2025
Capturing the first moments of 2025, a spectacular drone show illuminated the Attica sky above the Christmas Village. Dozens of drones offered a breathtaking display, forming the most iconic New Year symbols on the night canvas.

Gliding above thousands of spectators, the drones depicted a Christmas tree, a reindeer, a snowman, a decorated house, and even the beloved Santa Claus, shown setting off on his journey to deliver gifts to every home.
Additionally, an impressive light show brightened every corner of the Christmas Village, enhancing its festive atmosphere.

Following the performances, MAD RADIO 106.2 took over the stage, keeping the outdoor celebrations alive until the early hours of the New Year.
