The Greek Ministry of Economy has introduced an online auction platform for the concession of 550 beach sections for public use in 2025.
The auctions, which will close on March 31, aim to streamline the process, ensuring that all eligible participants can take part without obstacles or delays.
As part of a new law implemented in 2024, all auctions for the allocation of seashore and beach areas will now be conducted exclusively online through the dedicated platform.
According to the ministry, this approach guarantees transparency, efficiency, and a seamless experience for bidders.

“The goal is to maximize participation and ensure unrestricted access to the tender for all interested parties, while enforcing strict guidelines for the responsible management of public seashore and beach areas, ultimately optimizing revenue returns for the Greek State,” the ministry said in an official announcement.
The platform was developed in collaboration with the General Secretariat of Public Property under the Ministry of Economy and the General Secretariat of Information Systems and Public Administration under the Ministry of Digital Governance.
