Milos tops Conde Nast Traveller’s (CNT) list of the Best Greek Islands to Visit in 2025 winning over editors with its photogenic and dramatic coastline.
In recent years, previously overlooked Greek islands have been gaining international attention from both the media and travelers seeking a more authentic experience during their visit to Greece.
Among them, Milos, Folegandros, Tinos, and Kea have emerged on the global stage, thanks to stylish new hotel openings, while Paros has stepped into the spotlight as the backdrop for several Netflix productions.
“The Greek islands of Mykonos and Santorini might be the social media darlings, but with over 200 inhabited islands scattered across the Aegean, Mediterranean and Ionian seas, there are plenty more to choose from for your next Greek getaway,” CNT editors note before revealing their list of the 34 best Greek islands for the year ahead.

Milos is a small volcanic island in the heart of the Cyclades where the famous Venus de Milo status was discovered. The island’s dramatic coastline boasts over 70 beaches, with CNT highlighting Sarakiniko and the bottle-green swimming hole at Papafragas.
Paros ranks second on CNT’s list, praised by editors for offering an “authentic taste of Grecian life”. Despite gaining international recognition through the Netflix production One Day, it remains one of the quieter Greek islands, attracting locals, savvy island hoppers, and travelers seeking an authentic experience.
