Greece’s unique offerings have solidified its status as a top destination for affluent travelers in 2025, as highlighted in the annual Luxe Report by luxury travel network Virtuoso.
The Virtuoso Luxe Report is an annual survey, providing insights into the latest trends, preferences, and forecasts in the luxury travel market. It is widely regarded as a trusted resource for understanding affluent travelers’ evolving tastes and priorities.
The report places Greece in the Top 5 for three key categories for the second consecutive year: 2nd Top Global Destination, 2nd Top Honeymoon Destination, and 3rd Top Cruise Itinerary.
In addition, the country ranks as the 4th Top Family Travel Destination in 2025.

Virtuoso highlighted that classic favorites such as Italy, France, and Greece continue to lead as top international destinations, while rising stars like Portugal and Japan are gaining popularity as emerging vacation spots.
According to the report, Italy remains the leading global destination, as well as the top family and honeymoon travel destination.
Overall, the Virtuoso report has also revealed the five key travel trends for 2025, showcasing how upscale travelers are shaping the industry. These trends include exploring cold-weather destinations like Antarctica, Norway, and Iceland; solo cruising that combines independence with social opportunities on small ships; pursuing adventure and wellness; drawing inspiration from media, friends, and travel advisors; and experiencing immersive gastronomy that celebrates local culture.
Over 2,200 travel advisors from Virtuoso-affiliated agencies worldwide participated in the Luxe Report survey, leveraging their expertise, experience, and client requests to highlight 2025’s top travel trends.
