About the Chevening Scholarship Programme
Chevening is the UK Government’s flagship international scholarship scheme aimed at developing future global leaders. Funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and partner organizations, the program offers two types of awards:

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for a Chevening Scholarship, you must:

Be a citizen of Türkiye or a Chevening-eligible country.

Return to Türkiye for at least two years after completing the award.

Have completed a bachelor’s degree (minimum equivalent to a UK 2:1 honours degree).

Possess at least two years (2,800 hours) of work experience.

Apply to three eligible UK master’s courses and receive at least one unconditional offer by 9 July 2026.

Meet all UK university admission requirements, including English language proficiency.
Ineligibility Criteria
You are not eligible to apply if you:

Hold British or dual British citizenship, except in limited circumstances.

Hold refugee status in a non-Chevening-eligible country.

Are employed or have been employed within the past two years by:

His Majesty’s Government (e.g., FCDO, Home Office, MOD)

The British Council

A UK university partner

The Association of Commonwealth Universities

Have previously received UK government-funded scholarships.
Note: Holding a master’s degree does not disqualify you from applying. You must justify how a second degree aligns with your future leadership goals.
How to Apply for the Chevening Türkiye Award
All applications must be submitted through the official online portal
Chevening–TEV Partnership Award
Candidates interested in the Chevening–Türk Eğitim Vakfı (TEV) co-sponsored scholarship must:

Also apply separately through the TEV application portal
(Open from 1 October 2025 to 1 December 2025)
Only candidates who submit both applications will be considered for the joint award. Those applying only to Chevening will be evaluated for the standard Chevening award.
