Visa Information

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered, applicants must:

• Be a citizen of one of the eligible countries

• Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Archaeology or Conservation

• Be proficient in English

• Be 40 years old or younger at the time of application

Application Process

Step 1: Review Fellowship Materials

Step 2: Contact Your National Commission for UNESCO

Each applicant must contact their country’s National Commission for UNESCO to receive detailed application instructions.

Step 3: Prepare Your Application

Submit the following documents:

• Completed UNESCO Fellowship Application Form (in English)

• Copy of passport and recent photo

• Certified copies of academic degrees (B.A./M.A.)

• English language proficiency certificate (if applicable)

• Two letters of recommendation (academic or professional)

Step 4: Submit to National Commission

Submit all application materials to your country’s National Commission for UNESCO. They must forward nominated applications to UNESCO by May 28, 2025.

Step 5: Final Submission to UNESCO

Nominated candidates must submit their complete application, including the information sheet, by June 11, 2025 (midnight Paris time).
