Air Serbia officially launched direct service between Belgrade and the Greek island of Mykonos with the inaugural JU554 flight on June 6.
The seasonal route will operate twice weekly, on Mondays and Fridays, throughout the summer.
To mark the occasion, Nikola Nedeljković, Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Greece, hosted a welcome ceremony at Mykonos Airport, emphasizing the importance of the new connection in boosting tourism and bilateral ties.
“Year after year, Greece has been among the most popular destinations for Serbian tourists, which is why we are further expanding our presence on that market,” said Boško Rupić, General Manager for Commercial and Strategy at Air Serbia.
Expanding Greek network
With the addition of Mykonos, Air Serbia now offers flights to seven Greek destinations for the 2025 summer season: Athens, Thessaloniki, Rhodes, Corfu, Chania, Heraklion, and Mykonos.
“By introducing direct flights to the island, travellers can reach one of the most attractive summer destinations faster and easier,” Rupić added. “We believe that travellers will use the opportunity to visit Mykonos and enjoy exclusive beaches, top gastronomic offer, and a vibrant nightlife.”
Located in the heart of the Cyclades, Mykonos is widely recognized for its blend of traditional architecture and cosmopolitan atmosphere, making it a favorite among international visitors. Mykonos International Airport is managed by Fraport Greece.
