The Lakshmi Mittal and Family South Asia Institute at Harvard University is offering the Mittal Institute India Fellowship (MIIF) 2026 — a fully funded opportunity for two early-career researchers to conduct impactful, self-driven research while engaging with Harvard’s academic community remotely.
Eligible Research Areas
Fellows may explore a wide range of disciplines that contribute to India’s public benefit, including:

Selected fellows will reside in New Delhi and participate in the Institute’s activities, such as:
Fellowship Benefits

Monthly Stipend: INR 1,00,000 (gross)

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:

Hold a PhD awarded between March 1, 2020, and March 31, 2025

Be at the postdoctoral career stage
-
Preferably educated at Indian institutions
-
Not currently holding another fellowship

Mentorship & Selection
