Greece is the top international summer travel search for American travelers in 2025, according to a new report by luxury travel platform Kinglike Concierge.
Based on Google Trends data from January 1 to March 31, the report highlights Greece as the most searched destination in nine US states: Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Oklahoma, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.
The findings reflect Americans’ growing appetite for Mediterranean experiences, with Greece standing out for its iconic islands, historical depth, and coastal charm. Increased accessibility, including nonstop flights from major US cities to Athens and popular islands such as Santorini and Mykonos, continues to strengthen Greece’s position as a leading destination.
“American demand for Greece shows no sign of slowing,” the report notes, linking the trend to ongoing tourism promotion efforts and improved connectivity.
Meanwhile, data from Longwoods International reveals that 88 percent of American travelers intend to take a trip within the next six months, with global interest spanning from European cultural capitals to Southeast Asian beach destinations.
Other highly searched countries in Kinglike Concierge’s top 10 include the Netherlands, Indonesia, Malaysia, Ireland, Mexico, Morocco, Italy, Croatia, and Austria.
To determine the rankings, the company analyzed relative interest scores (0–100) for 20 destinations across all 50 states, assigning the top spot in each state to the destination with the highest search interest.
